Problem: Your laptop keyboard defaults to Fn key combinations.
Solution: You need to press Fn+NumLk/NumLock combination to revert back to using the normal keyboard defaults.
Problem: You get the error message: “Could Not Find The File Flash.ocx”
Problem:
The Folder Options command is missing from the Tools menu (see image below; click to enlarge).
Cause: Probably caused by malware.
Resolution:
Problem:
Sometimes none of the/not all of the system tray icons show
Solution:
Get the Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! from Kellys Korner or from my mirror download location.
1) Select “Show Missing Icon” under the “Notification Area” and tick the checkbox at “Disable SSDP and uPNP Services” and click “Apply” (see below).
2) Again, under “Notification Area”, select “Remove the Notification Area” and untick “Remove Notification Area” on the right (see below).
That’s it.
Do the following:
1. Go to Start>Run and type in “cmd” (no quotes), hit Enter;
2. Type in “fsutil dirty query C:” (no quotes) (see screenshot below) – if chkdsk keeps checking another drive, replace “c” with the corresponding drive/partition letter.
3. If the return message indicates that the volume is dirty go to step 4;
4. Next type “chkdsk c: /f /x”
5. After 4) is done, repeat step 2);
6. If the drive is no longer dirty then reboot and you should notice no more
chkdisk repetitions.
